Death Toll in Iran Protests More Than Doubles, Reaches 466

The number of people killed in the protests in Iran has more than doubled in recent hours, Reuters reports, citing the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA).

In its latest update, the independent organization said that 466 people have died — a sharp increase from the previous figure of 203.

HRANA, which relies on information verified by activists inside Iran, has previously provided accurate data during earlier waves of unrest in the Islamic Republic.
